ϟ ⋈Neck tie Head Bow Tutorial!⋈

Hey guys I promised that I would do the tutorial, and here it is,

the things you’ll need is:

-An old neck tie, you can ask dad for an old one he doesn’t like,

you won’t need to do any knitting or cutting,

you can always use the tie again for neck tie purposes

or if you can find one you fancy in a charity shop~

-Safety Pin, this will secure the bow without ruining it.

-Elastic band.

1. Ok firstly, use the large end on of the tie, this will be where the bow will form.

2. Now fold the large end of the tie to the center, and the other side aswell.

3. Now for the Origami part, fold and pinch the center of the large loop into what should appear like a bow.

4.Next tie secure the center tightly with an elastic ,I’m using a ribbon for now thanks to not finding a hair band. xD

5.Now that the flares are in place, wrap the thinner strip of the tie, around the center of the bow, remember to wrap it without the back of the tie appearing, and also not to wrap it too much, this should be 2-3 wraps around the bow, depending how big you want to make your bow.

6. Now at the back of the bow, secure it in place snuggly with a safety pin midway bottom of the back, not tightly.

7. Now we’re almost done, now if you notice, you can see there’s a loop above the safety pin, that we can put the rest of the tie through to make the band to wrap on our heads, the next step is to loop the tie through.

8. Now, How to wear it? to wear your neck tie turned head bow, put the bow around your neck, and place the head bow on your head as if you wear putting a normal hair band on your head, and fasten the long tie, securing the bow in place.

^Now if you can see above of the picture, the small tie is sticking out, to get rid of it, all you need to do now is tug it inside the band at the back.
